What happens when people and systems continue functioning after the conditions that once made them coherent have changed? That question organizes everything here.
Industrial/Organizational Psychologist, writer, and founder of Life Reorganizing. Creator of Adaptive Coherence Architecture.
Marie-Line Rigaud has spent more than twenty-five years working at the intersection of leadership, organizational development, and I/O psychology. That work began with a practical question: why do some organizations remain coherent under pressure while others, facing the same conditions, begin to fragment — not dramatically, but in the slow, compounding way that eventually becomes irreversible?
The organizational dimension of that question led to Adaptive Coherence Architecture — a proprietary diagnostic and advisory framework for reading organizations as adaptive human systems, and for identifying where coherence is breaking down as conditions change. The personal dimension led to the manuscript As Life Moves, which asks the same question of individuals: what happens to a person who continues to function well after the conditions that once made their life coherent have quietly shifted?
These are not separate inquiries. They share a frame, a vocabulary, and a conviction: that coherence is not a static property but a dynamic condition, and that its breakdown — in people as in organizations — rarely announces itself clearly before it has already accumulated significant distance.
What happens when people and systems continue functioning after the conditions that once made them coherent have changed?
This question doesn't resolve cleanly. It deepens as it is held. Life Reorganizing exists to hold it rigorously: through a framework that can be applied, through a manuscript that can be read, through articles that work the question in public, and through direct professional engagement with organizations and individuals who are living it.
Life Reorganizing is a body of work with distinct expressions that are intended to be coherent with each other, not merely co-branded. The organizational and literary work arise from the same root. The framework and the manuscript were developed in parallel, each informing the other.
The Adaptive Coherence Lab is the research function — testing the framework against real organizational conditions. The Advisory applies it with leadership teams. The manuscript reaches individuals navigating their own interval of change. Articles are the living inquiry that keeps all of it from becoming fixed.
Education and community dimensions are forthcoming, developed with the same care as everything else here — which means not before they're ready.
The Adaptive Coherence Advisory works with leadership teams to read where coherence is holding and where it is breaking down — before the symptoms require a restructure to address them.
